Pete Buttigieg made headlines last year by pledging to cut off military aid money to Israel if they continued building settlements and committing human rights abuses. The Times of Israel covered the story here.
Well, now that tensions in the middle east are worse than ever as a result of a recent failed peace proposal with no end in sight to Israel's perpetual expansion, Buttigieg's supporters want to know when he would act on his promise. The South Bend, Indiana mayor appeared to backtrack on his statements in a tense exchange with a town hall attendee. Buttigieg struggles to shake the encounter, staring away from the man, and doesnt bring himself to answer the question or address his past comments.
